Meet The Team

Angela Lyons

Founder Owner

With more than four decades of experience in the retail apparel industry, Angela brings a depth of knowledge that can only be developed through years of hands-on involvement. Since beginning her career in the early 1980s, she has worked across every facet of the industry—including design, sourcing, production, sales, marketing, logistics and distribution.

Throughout her career, Angela has experienced the evolution of the apparel industry firsthand, building an extensive understanding of products, materials, manufacturing, customer expectations and global supply chains. In 2004, she founded The Fashion Source Pty Ltd, bringing her decades of experience together to provide customers with a complete service across apparel, accessories, uniforms and branded merchandise.

Angela's end-to-end knowledge allows her to guide customers confidently through every stage of the process, from the initial concept and product selection through to production and final delivery. Her ability to anticipate challenges, identify the right solutions and deliver quality, market-relevant products has been shaped by more than 40 years in the industry.

At the heart of Angela's approach is a genuine commitment to listening to her customers and understanding what they need. It is this combination of decades of proven experience, comprehensive industry knowledge and a passion for the work that continues to build lasting partnerships and deliver real value to every customer.

Archie Gill

Business Development Manager

Archie is a Business Development Manager at TFS, celebrating six years with the company. Having evolved from a warehouse role to BDM, Archie brings a unique, ground-up understanding of the business to his clients.

He is a customer-centric professional who excels at communication and takes genuine interest in learning the intricacies of his clients' operations.

Archie specialises in identifying the most appropriate uniform and merchandise solutions to help partners meet their specific KPIs. Outside of work, he is passionate about Rowing and serves as a Senior Coach at MGS.

James Ding

Business Development Manager

James brings experience across business development, operations and e-commerce to The Fashion Source, helping clients create uniform, teamwear and branded merchandise solutions that are practical, on-brand and easy to manage.

From the initial brief and product development through to online ordering, production and delivery, James works with clients to ensure each program runs smoothly from start to finish.

With experience scaling customer-focused businesses and building strong client partnerships, James understands the importance of combining a well-considered product with an efficient operational process. At TFS, his focus is on helping hospitality, tourism, retail, corporate and event businesses create apparel programs and branded merchandise that support their teams, reflect their brand and scale with their business.

Libby Frederico

Office & Finance Coordinator

Libby is a seasoned industry professional who recently joined the TFS team, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective. Known for her meticulous attention to detail and creative thinking, Libby is a valuable asset to our business, consistently delivering high-quality results.

Outside of the office, she is a passionate sports enthusiast and a keen reader.

Dolce

Chief Happiness Officer

Dolce is The Fashion Source's four-legged morale manager, bringing warmth, energy and plenty of personality to the office each day. From supervising snack breaks to greeting the team and keeping everyone smiling, she is an important part of the TFS culture.

Her role may be unofficial, but her impact is felt across the office—helping make TFS a friendly, welcoming place for clients, partners and the team.

Industry Experts

Kym Lester

Designer

Kym is retail executive whose design strength lies in translating trend direction into commercially viable product across fashion, accessories and home furnishings.

He reads seasonal direction, develops concepts and carries them through local sourcing as well as offshore manufacture to hit precise price architecture.

A Yankunytjatjara man with family connections to the APY Lands, he also works with emerging Indigenous fashion brands on product development and retail positioning. His particular talent is knowing what a customer wants before they do, and designing it to land.

Michelle Sit

Hospitality Industry Pioneer & Veteran

Michelle Sit is a hospitality industry pioneer and veteran. She opened her first restaurant in Shanghai in 2004 and, with over 20 years of successful trade, has built a global portfolio of more than 30 venues. Few people understand the nuances and requirements of hospitality better than Michelle.

For many years, Michelle has partnered with TFS to ensure hospitality customers receive uniforms that combine the best quality, competitive pricing, and stylish design. Her deep operational experience and global perspective make her an invaluable partner in delivering uniform solutions built for the real demands of the industry.

Our Story

20+ Years Of Experience

The Fashion Source was founded in Melbourne in 2004, producing for some of Australia's most recognised fashion houses. That same design and production expertise is what goes into every uniform and merch program we deliver today.

We design in Melbourne and produce through our own office in Shanghai — giving our clients fashion-house quality, without the fashion-house price or timelines. Where it's required, we offer offshore design and manufacturing, and we're just as happy working with local Australian suppliers where that's the better fit for the brief.
